Decent bar food. I've been impressed by everything I've gotten here- burgers, tacos, salads, etc. Lunch gets a little busy and is hit or miss. I've been here 3 times and during two of the three, service was prompt, but one it was slow. Couldn't fault the server, as it looked like she was covering a ton of tables. The patio has a great view and there are tons of TVs in the bar areas. Extensive happy hour and cocktail list.

Needed something small to hold us over before dinner, so we came here during happy hour and got an order of buffalo wings and a Colorado Native. The mountain view from the patio is absolutely gorgeous, even on a cloudy day. The service was really good and the restaurant was very clean (top notch bathrooms). I enjoyed the wings; particularly the sweetness of the sauce. Nice spot for a pit stop, and a really good experience.

Ohio State Buckeyes bar, get there early to get a good spot. Decent amount of TVs and the food is pretty good. The fans watch the game upstairs so it gets cramped on game days, again, best to arrive early.

Bar food restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Huge TVs and fun environment. My parents and I went here for lunch and there was not the best selection for vegetarians or even vegans a lot of meat free or dairy free options. I have a dairy allergy and their fries came covered in Parmesan in which I didn't know and was a real disappointment. The waiters were very helpful and brought me a fruit cup out instead .

Three of us at the bar with over $100 already booked. After nine ignoring walkbys, we finally got a tender to stop for a food order. No reasons offered for the lack of attention - more importantly, we have been nothing but nice. Either deliberately ignoring us or too mentally slow to recognize customers wishing to place an order. Management can make the choice. Perhaps the first string team is on the way back to school already.

I really think that this place can be a fun place to go however it is always overly noisy and the service can be spotty. The thing that can be said about this particular location is that they have an awesome rooftop bar with expansive views of the mountains to the west. During nice days you can expected to have a long wait time as people enjoy a long and leisurely meal with drinks and soaking up the Sun on the rooftop deck. Those are the reasons for the 3 stars. As for the food it's really isn't anything spectacular you can pretty much enjoy just about any fried food options but as far as there being a big draw for a reason to come here it isn't the food. They have the standard bar and burger and salad there but certainly nothing to rave about. This place is all about being seen and being in "the" place see the views.

Pretty great place to grab a quick bite. Sat at the bar. I was there about an hour before happy hour, so it was pretty quiet. So many thing on the menu looked yummy...must come back and try some more food.

I dislike posting negative reviews- but sometimes overall bad experiences need to be known. My girlfriend Jenn spotted the large patio from the highway and decided we should stop for food before heading out of town. Unfortunately for numerous tables seated on the open air patio at this suburban Lodo's location poor service, food quality and overall attitude were abundant yesterday afternoon. Maybe the servers who were scheduled for Sunday afternoon weren't this location's "A-Team"? Maybe the upstairs hostess was overly aggressive with seating the outdoor patio tables? (It was a beautiful Colorado afternoon after all) We found ourselves being seated next to three other tables all with menus closed and hungry/confused looking families. Before we were greeted by the manager and reassured they were "doing their best today" -- another 2 tables were seated next to ours. Maybe the waitstaff were having personal issues with each other?? We ordered from the manager - I ordered the flatbread pizza and Jenn ordered Ahi Tuna Salad. Then we were again reassured that things were being handled by our server (whom we still had not seen) 10 mins later another hostess came to our table with questions about who had the Sweet Potatoes (?) umm.. While battling my hunger mixed with the overwhelming urge to be a complete tool-- I responded with a bland "we didn't order Sweet Potato". 10 mins later the same food came out to our table being carried by a server (who would later be our server evidently) "Who had the salad?" she asked. Jenn asked to look at the salad to see if it was the one she ordered= salad was set in front of her. I got the other plate which looked to be two English Muffins sliced in half and toasted with some cheese and arugula on them. I informed her that I ordered the flatbread pizza. She said this was flatbread and walked off. Hhhmmmm. okay. The English Muffin creation was tasty at least but not very filling. I ordered some Buffalo Chicken Tenders when our server came back around again. Jenn's Ahi Tuna looked tasty but the rest of the bowl was mainly iceburg lettuce and a few chopped up bits of other random veggies such as bean spouts and carrots. Not really a "premium salad" but still healthy. The chicken tenders arrived warm- but not above the 85 degree air temperature. They had an interesting sort of panko breadcrumb batter. I was hungry but not hungry enough to palate more then two or three of the 10 or so in the bowl because of the 3 year-old doggie chew toy feel when trying to eat them. When our server came back by she asked if I needed a box to take the rest of the chicken away- I informed her we needed to get going and the chicken was truly un-edible. She asked why I ate over half of it if I didn't like them?? Well- 2 or 3 pieces is hardly over half of 10. Nothing motivates me to leave the tip line blank like poor service, poor food and an argumentative server-- just saying. She did come back with our bill and informed us that her manager "did us a favor and removed the chicken from our check". Ummm-- excuse me?? But if the management is trying to do me a favor-- shouldn't THEY be the ones to inform me of their generosity?? All in all a terrible experience. I don't know about the other tables seated all about the same time we were-- but I'm hoping their afternoon meal wasn't something (bad) to write about.

Yes, the view from the patio is great, but why can't the service and food match? We stopped by yesterday about 6:00 p.m. for a light supper at the end of a motorcycle ride. There was room on the patio, so they weren't slammed. The menu selections for vegetarians is lmited to appetizers--literalliy, not a single vegetarian entree. We were promptly greeted, but then waited 10 minutes for the drinks to arrive. We ordred the avocado corn tower, which was very good. It arrived about mid way through our first drink. We had ordered two more appetizers when our drinks were served and by the time they arrived the beverages were empty. We asked the server who brought the food to tell our waittress to bring us another round. We waited, and waited. The waittress swung by and confirmed that we wanted another round. (Does she not trust the other server?) Our food was completely gone by the time we received our second round of drinks. In a period of about 90 minutes we were served only two drinks. These weren't anything fancy--an iced tea and a non-alcoholic bottled beer. (Booze and Harleys don't mix.) The waittress shares some of the blame, as she would disappear behind the service bar for several mintues at a time, but the most striking thing while the place got busier was the complete lack of any management on the floor. By the time we left, the place was 80% full and there was no visible management support. It's too bad that a place can have such a good location that they no longer feel the need to deliver quality service or food. We asked for a pizza without meat on it, and were told that it could not be done because the pizzas were pre-made. (Can you spell FROZEN PIZZA?) I can buy a frozen pizza a throw it in the oven at home. I hate seeing companies benefit from a community without having a commitment to delivering the quality that their customers in that community expect.

The service was great and the turkey sandwich I had was pretty good. There are lots of TVs and they will change the channels to whatever game you want to watch, so go watch your sports there. My beef was with the tater tots in which they were very oily and I made the mistake of eating them in which my stomach ached for hours after I left the joint. Normally, tots are crunchy and we were in a hurry, but normally I won't eat oily food like that. I did and paid a price all day, so I will never order those things again here. Otherwise, it's not a bad place and we might be back again someday.

Food is decent bar food, but their selection of drinks and the absolutely oustanding patio is what brings me in consistently. Love their happy hour! Just wish it went a little later so I don't feel so bad for sticking around ha ha. That patio truly makes all of the difference. Even if you don't get a spot outside during the summer, they have the "garage" doors up and the entire upstairs is enveloped in the beautiful summer day or evening. It's perfection. The nightlife there isn't my first choice, as it gets crowded with some interesting people. I'm just there to chill and drink my Summer Shandy, ya know??

This is the second time that I have had the Tuna Appetizer and WOW! It really is very good. The service at the bar is not so good but if you get a table it is much better. It is worth it to go here for the amazing appetizer.

Just letting everyone know that they have cut portions on food about 30%! Drinks cut as well. I guess things must be hurting. If the bartender calls me boss one more time I'm gonna puke. I spent about $100 on my dinner and 4 drinks. Food tasted good but short! Also! I swear they are watering down the liquor. I never would have believed it but i thought it was watery while i was there. Got home and poured myself one and it was night and day! And i drink maker's Mark! What a rip! !! Isn't that illegal? I knew something smelled rotten!

Great open concept with roll up garage doors leading to a large outdoor patio that has exceptional views of downtown Denver and the surrounding mountains. Huge selection of local Micro Beer. A little pricey though at $5.25 per pint!! Airport prices much? The staff was super friendly and at the bar upstairs the bartender let me try a few small beer samples on the house. Overall the atmosphere and high quality tv's all over the place made for a pleasurable experience. I recommend coming during happy hour 3-7 for better prices on the booze though!

This place is your typical hang out with a group of friends that would like some degrees of freedom in the cost of dinner. There are definitely a wide range of choices on the menu and certainly happy hour specials and also some premium drinks. The rooftop area nicely overlooks downtown Denver and has an open patio for the summer. We had a variety of drinks from beer, wine, and mixed drinks as well. The service was not bad, our server seemed to have a large number of tables and managed to keep our water filled and check back occasionally to see if we needed anything. This is actually the second time I have been here, the first was on a super-busy day where there was a football game upstairs, and it was really loud and crowded, so we moved downstairs. For local football fans that was to watch the game with a group, this is a hotspot and like I said, the food is typical for a bar and grill and reasonably priced. I wish I could have given this place a better rating, but the atmosphere, service, and food were just average.

Great sports bar with tons of BIG TV's, great patio... BUT, every time I'm here with friends the conversation inevitably turns to the decreasing quality of the food & higher food prices. Fish & chips used to be yummy, made with fresh fish, now chewy with frozen fish. The kids' chicken fingers tasted fishy, as did the fried pickles, meaning they were all fried in the same oil-yuck. . The pizzas used to be delicious. It was clear that the crusts were made fresh. Now the "flat breads" obviously made with a pre-made &/or frozen dough. Not that any of this matters. The place is packed all the time despite the decreasing food quality & the owners know it. Just saying don't expect a quality menu here.

I am giving this place some pretty medium to high marks on several areas. We came with a party of 14 for lunch and were pretty well taken care of. The Food- We ordered several appetizers that were all really pretty good. Great presentation on everything. I tried the wings, the House Made Onion Rings and the Southwest Cigars. The Southwest Cigars were pretty awesome and had a fantastic dipping sauce. I am going with average but good with the rest. Also, my coworkers had the Philly cheesesteak and the daily special which was a fajita burrito. I got a big thumbs up on the burrito with outstanding green chili! The Philly I got "it's okay". I ordered the buffalo burger (medium) which I really feel was below par. You have to cook that and elk extremely carefully (it's not hamburger meat) so I thought it was pretty dry and overcooked. Seemed like the cook may have pressed the juice out of it. Oh well. French Fries were hot and delicious! I did feel the pricing was very high though, so not really getting the value I thought that was paid. The Place itself- Awesome! Very cool place to meet friends and hang out. Upstairs does offer a great view. The wait staff was outstanding and extra high marks for super clean bathrooms! They use real store bought pump soap which I thought was excellent! Not the mystery soap where you don't really feel like your hands got clean. That's attention to detail! Lastly- My Coworker goes here all the time and says they are consistently very good!

I have eaten lunch here twice. Once during a Broncos game, and good luck getting any service... That time we ate upstairs and today I ate downstairs. The service for food downstairs was not good because the bartender is your waitress and her focus is on the patrons at the bar and you get ignored at your table. Both times I ordered the same food, a side salad and the bucket of shrimp and fries and it was decent but pricey, six pieces of shrimp and french fries for $15 seems pricey. This time it was a little overcooked and I have indigestion. . I do enjoy the side salad though; lots of goodies in there, radishes, cucumbers, raisins, nuts and blue cheese crumbles on mixed greens and they offered a great variety of dressings including a champagne vinegarette. The atmosphere in the middle of the day at 2 PM is dead city! May or may not be back...

I've been coming here quite a bit and it's been one of my favs lately. Service on Sunday has always been top notched for me and the food is always great. They did get rid of a fav of mine though which was upsetting but things change. Forget brothers across the street. Service is average over there.

I never realized how big this place was until recently. It's conveniently located near my office but I had never gone until recently for a few lunches and Happy Hours. Lunch hour service has been great the few times I have stopped in. The menu is extensive. I really enjoy the Fish and Chips here. It's normally way to much for one person so it can be shared for lunch. The fish is mild and crispy and they do a great job on their fries and slaw as well. Happy Hour is a lot of fun, tons of people and places to chat. The happy hour menu is about 10 items that range in price from 5-10.00. Fried pickles, Pretzels with beer cheese dip, Poppers and assorted other favorites to eat and share. Katrina was our exclusive waitress and did a great job keeping 30-40 of us fed and hydrated.

One of my favorite places to eat, both for the food and for the ambience. I would recommend, however, that they provide umbrellas that actually provide shade. We love sitting on the upper deck, but when that sun is out, the umbrellas aren't large enough.

Menu continuously changes. If you don't ask for a small beer or a small soup they will bring you the biggest they have. I was charged $6 for a small piece of chicken for my $3 salad?? Service has gone down hill since competition opened across the street. Prices are high. They tend to turn to bad talking their competition when asked about it. Last weekend our waitress was being difficult about moving us inside from the patio when it started to thunder and lightening outside because she didn't have a table inside. Our food was ordered and when we said we were going inside anyway she said she didn't know where we would sit. Rest assured we went in anyway. Crazy bad service. It didn't use to be like this.

Not sure why they hacked the great menu they had before? Elk hotdogs and shrimp burgers? The menu seems all over the place. We sat at the bar. Seemed they could use one more bartender for such a large bar on a Saturday. Although they have a large beer selection, the selection is shitty. No German beer, no Canadian beer. They used to have a great margarita pizza and a yummy veggie burger. Nothing much but a cucumber sandwich if you lean more towards a vegetarian diet. Great balcony view. Where is Restaurant Impossible when you need them?

Had lunch here today with my wife. We like this place for both just us or when we have the kids with us too. I had the Gyro flatbread for lunch. I was a little bit disappointed in that each of the 4 small flatbread's had a miniscule piece of lamb meat. If you were not looking for it you would miss it. It tasted good, and the feta and everything else on it was great. Just needs a bit more meat if it is going to be called an Gyro flatbread. I still like this place and will return, but will stay with my favorites.....

This place is terrible. Save yourself the time and go across the street to brothers bar and grill. A while back I walked through the door at this lodos with a group of friends. After about 5 of my friends walked right passed the door guys saying their hellos and greetings without paying the 5 dollar cover charge I get stopped by this power tripping door guy and he asks me to pay 5 dollars. So I say okay I'll use the ATM no problem. I tried THREE different debit cards and the ATM wouldn't read any of them (after they had worked elsewhere all night long). So the guy tells me I need to go down the road to a bank and use their ATM to get the 5 dollars. Really guy? Finally someone gets tired of it and hands me 5 dollars to pay it so I obviously angrily handed him the money and walked off and the guy proceeded to chase me down and ask me why I was angry. Finally another employee got him away from me. Boycott this place. It's terrible for more reasons than this. I just chose to tell this story as an example.

The place itself is good but the cops like to sit outside this location and wait to bust people getting in their cars after leaving the bar. If you want to avoid a DUI or a run-in with cops for any reason, either avoid this bar or have a designated driver with you.

I had visited the place with Friends. My excitement had no boundaries when I saw Fried Shrimp bucket in the menu. Shrimps were tender and delicious. We also ordered some Chicken Wings which were equally good. Good beer selection as well. Anyone staying in or near Lone Tree area or visiting the area should consider visiting this place.

Food was okay nothing special. Atmosphere was poor. It's good if you like the bar scene I suppose. Very loud and unorganized. They sat my date and I at a large round booth which was really awkward for sitting and talking to one another. Won't go back here again.

This was our first visit to this location for lunch using a $30 Google Offers deal. We went upstairs. There was a huge bar with multiple flat screen tvs and high and low tables. We sat near a fireplace, but the server was not able to figure out how to turn it on. We were the first ones to dine upstairs for lunch. We ordered 3 items that took 25 minutes to come out. Rocky Mountain Turkey Sandwich (turkey topped with avocado, bacon, and Monterey Jack cheese then grilled on sourdough bread)- my step-daughter would order this again. The fries were not freshly fried, but they were crisp and seasoned perfectly. I would go back for the fries. These were some of the best fries I've had in a long time. The Colorado Zaaa Pizza (roasted red pepper, roasted garlic spread, artichoke hearts, black olives, and Palidori Italian sausage)- A 9-10" pizza cut into 8 slices enough for 2 people. The crust was thick and the bones were crunchy, but soft on the inside. I didn't see any black olives. I-25 Pizza (pepperoni, Poladori Italian sausage, artichoke hearts, mushrooms, pepperoncinis and Italian four cheese house blend)- My husband liked this pizza with the red sauce better than the other pizza we ordered. The server was friendly and brought out another Pepsi without even asking if my husband wanted a refill. I would rather pay a little more and drive 3.6 miles to Lone Tree to E Lincoln Ave/Quebec Ave area near the Super Target and have Wood-Fired Pizza.

Above average price, below average.....everything else. The food is edible at best, definitely not worth what they charge. The beers are expensive. The place is vast and full of yuppys if thats. If its yuppy you want, great, go hang out there. Not for me though. They thrive on them. They ave a great upper patio that has a great view, but so does so many other places in Denver that theres no reason to go here for the view alone. Usually its so full of yuppys that its hard to find even decent service unless your sitting at the bar upstairs. Anywhere else in the place and youll be begging for attention from anyone who walks by.

Used to go here all the time as it's right down the street from where I live and if I had to-- I could walk to and from there. I've always considered it kinda like my "neighborhood bar" and I've gone there many times for Friday HH's, or to watch Bronco and Ohio State Buckeye games and even for Breakfast on Sunday's. However last night when me and two of my friends tried to go, they were charging a $4 cover charge at the door to get in---which is ridiculous since they don't even do at the downtown location. Went across the street and tried Brother's instead where there was no cover and $3 "you-call-its". Looks like I may have found myself a new "neighborhood bar".

Outdoor patio: 5 (hell, 55,555!) Food/drink: 2 Service: -10 To emphasize, that is a negative 10. We had at least 5-6 servers swap out during our lunch. They were all equally disorganized and incompetent (hate to say that about anyone, but it's the truth), and everything took much longer than it should have. I opted for the build-your-own-bloody-mary experience (aka my dreamboat), and I got a glass of the most watered down vodka - if there was any at all. I essentially paid for tomato juice, olives, and a stick of celery. Two friends did the Bloody thing as well and had the same experience - minimal/no vodka. Oh, well. I'd come back just for the rooftop deck. That was amazing!

We chose this place after seeing the awesome looking deck with a great view of the mountains on a warm sunny April afternoon. We enjoyed the scenery and beer the most, but the service was very good and the food was good too. The menu had a nice variety. We had the poutine appetizer which was decent, and the salmon special, also good. I particularly liked the house salad with champagne vinaigrette. My hubby got the seared yellow fin tuna with fries and said it was very good. If you are looking for great outdoor dining, I highly recommend it.

I enjoyed this place, very few relaxed sports bars in this area, the food is very good, the beer selection excellent and other bars should take a lesson from lodo's on ensuring the proper carbonation, most Denver area bars serve flat beer and the patrons just suck it down, the bar doesn't have blasting music and has plenty of TV's, the staff is friendly and attentive, the place is very clean and happy hour is very reasonable, there are few bars in Highlands Ranch that are relaxed and inviting but this is one, I will return

Amazed by all the 4 and 5 star ratings, and wonder (convinced?) if they're not manufactured by regulars/friends. 1) You don't come here for the food. Have tried several times, and it just isn't good. Its average at best, and that seems what they strive for. 2) The service is poor, and a reflection of management. Friendly when they do show up, but don't mistake friendly with professional, prompt service. More often than not the wait staff is merely going through the motions, and you as a paying customer are inconveniencing them until it comes time for the bill - then the "service" ramps up, as they're quick to take your money. 3) The patio view is what you come for, and it can be great. The view alone, however, isn't enough to compensate for crap food and worse service.

The venue is overwhelmingly large, but provides an open, airy feel. While very limited, the menu has great salads (watermelon/radish, for example), and great cocktails (cucumber martini, anyone?). Anything else is chain-quality and not worth it. If you're in college, go in at night for booze and dancing. If your college days are a bittersweet, blurry memory, go for dinner and drinks on the roof.

My girlfriend and I went here yesterday for a Sunday lunch on the patio. There patio is amazing. Bloody Mary was pretty good! We also had the Ahi Tuna Wontons which are literally in my opinion the best thing they have. The flavor that they have is so amazing. I had the salmon burger. I love salmon but did not realize that the burger came with peppers mixed into the salmon. I am not a big fan of peppers at all so this was lunch for my boyfriend as I ate a couple of bites. The service was GREAT in the beginning as our waitor did such a great job. Towards the end tho we were waiting on him to give us our bill and ended up asking on of the other guys for it. No big deal. Overall our experience was good for a Sunday afternoon on the Patio. I would encourage you to go here and give it a try for yourself. I also looked in to the rewards system fivestars as they give you points when you spend money at places but didnt get a credit for that visit tho unfortunately. I had there old rewards system that they no longer use. We had spent so much money here from before that we still had alil gift on there.

Great rooftop patio, and happy hour specials are fair. Had a good all-around experience right up until my $25 tab showed up on my bank statement as $48. Those two numbers arent even close, nor do they look alike. My bank dispute produced the receipt from the bar which confirmed I was still moderately sober enough to sign and print an accurate dollar figure. I find it hard to believe this was an accident... This place certainly wont be my idea for the next happy hour, if I ever return.

Went for lunch yesterday Friday around 2pm. It was packed. We found the last new seats at the bar. The upstairs deck was closed for a private party. My husband used to say they had the best burger in town but not anymore. They changed the menu drastically. The burger now has a funky poppy seed bun, they removed hummus and veggies from the menu, they removed their fabulous nachos from the menu. We saw someone order a plate of plain tator tots. Seems like an odd menu item especially when they got rid of so many good ones. We tried the flatbread which was 4 small circular flatbreads. Not what we expected. They were ok but hardly any chicken and a little dry. Service at the bar (remind you that it was 2pm on a Friday before happy hour) was also poor unless you were a Bronco player or one of their enterouage. The door to "smoking deck" was propped open so the entire downstairs bar smelled of smoke. It was a disappointing experience. We won't be back to one of our former favorites.

Lodo's exceeded my expectations tonight. I ordered the salmon burger with chips, a friend ordered the same thing but with cole slaw and the rest of the table ordered fish & chips. Keep in mind, all of us at dinner were from the west coast or east coast so when it comes to seafood, we are... shall we say... selective. My salmon burger has got to be the best one I've eaten in Denver. It was flavorful and maintained the true subtle taste of salmon while being accented with capers (my favorite!). The chips are homemade and very perfectly thinly sliced, crispy and seasoned. I would definitely order this again. The fish and chips were a hit with the east and west coasters too. Not too overly battered or salty. Well done, Lodo's!

I went out with friends to Lodo's on an early Saturday evening for a few drinks and a little dinner. We sat upstairs, and I have to admit Lodo's has done a really great job with the expanded area. The entire second floor is much larger than it used to be, and is a really nice, well designed, comfortable space. Everything was going great; drinks were flowing, the sun was setting, and everyone was having a good time. Unfortunately, as much as they've improved the patio, I feel like the food was hit or miss. Our appetizer and a few of the dinners arrived cold. I ordered a burger because usually they are delicious, but the one I got was dry, cold and it looked like a run of the mill frozen patty. There were a few good meals: the veggie burger and macaroni and cheese that others had ordered were very good. The rest was just sort of meh. I agree with others that this place has an identity crisis. Case in point: When we arrived the patio was perfect for chilling out, watching the sun set, and enjoying some conversation with friends over drinks and mellow music. However at 9pm everything changed. The music started thumping, the volume was cranked way up, and all of a sudden Lodo's transformed into a nightclub. Before we knew what was happening we were surrounded by what appeared to be Jersey Shore cast wannabes. Weird. Overall, I love that upstairs deck so I'll be back for drinks. I'll just skip the burger next time, and make my exit when the sun goes down and the music goes up.

Used to really like this place but really just went there for the atmosphere; not the food as it is just mediocre. We stopped in yesterday for the Happy Hour and headed upstairs to the big bar/deck. We decided to sit at the bar because it was really hot on the deck. They do have misters out there that don't help with much other than ruining whatever you might have done to your hair before you got there. At the bar it was stifling hot with the sun bearing down on your back. They have big "garage doors" all around that they could open to get some air in there but for whatever reason they didn't no matter how much people complained about the heat. It was as if their furnace was on. They have a few 3-blade ceiling fans that were set to low and ineffective. The bar glass are always grimy there and their wine portions keep getting smaller as do their Happy Hour appetizers (but the price of those keep increasing). Would be a great place to watch the upcoming Bronco games but I'm not sure I will go back.

Great view especially at upstairs rooftop. Lots of drink specials and beers on tap. Above average bar food and don't have to pay $10 for parking because they brought LODO to the burbs.

Lodo's, I love the new patio! A major improvement from being scrunched in a corner area. I love your Happy Hour deals too, $3 Smirnoff is nothing to laugh at. Unless one has had 4 of them, such as I did last night. (Then one is likely to be laughing alot.) Your bartenders are friendly, you beer list is extensive, and there's lots of space with a heckuva view to enjoy after the day is done. Mighty fine job. May hap one day I'll sample your fare. It's odd that I've never noshed here. Cheers!

The only reason they are getting 2 stars is for the layout. Cool bar upstairs but there is a weird thing happens around midnight on fridays and saturdays. They will randomly select people who have spent their money at their bar to be thrown out for absolutely no reason and NO explanation. I literally was sitting at a table, grabbed on the shoulder and told I had to leave. My friend who was leaving the bathroom was also told to leave with no explanation. We had been minding our own business, not spoke to anyone, had only 2-3 beers each and were told "don't worry about don't make this hard on yourself." They also over serve everyone while they have 3-4 police cars waiting for drunk people to leave therefore causing their customers possible DUI's. This bars attendance has dropped dramatically within the last year and a half due to horrible management and unprofessional/drunk staff. If you want to possibly get kicked out for no reason go here, especially after you have spent your money on them that they feel acceptable. If you want to go to a better ran bar go to any other bar in the area. Don't wast your time on this dump, its only a matter of time before they tear this place down I wish I could say something better about this place but after being tossed out for NO REASON multiple times, I feel like discrimination is a part of how this joke of an establishment is ran.

GREAT roof top bar (3rd story floor to be exact) and great for happy hour, pass on the food. A good selection of beer (needs more IMO) and great prices during happy hour. Food - decent, nothing to rave about. Stick to burgers I guess? TV's- a okay amount of flat screens patio/roof top bar - the ONLY reason to come here. Sun beaming into the entire place and enjoy the eye candy. A great place to also see the CO mountains. Summary: Come for the rooftop bar and happy hour specials.

How have I NOT written a review for this place yet?! This has to be my favorite place to hang out in this part of town. You really can't beat the Rooftop Bar, especially during Happy Hour or on the weekends. Sitting up there watching the sun set is just magical. There are TVs everywhere too!!! The Ahi Tuna appetizer is a MUST try! Generally the food is good here, haven't really had any complaints about anything. Service can be hit or miss depending on how crowded it gets or who you get (it's not consistent across the entire staff). I also came on a Saturday night to check out the dance/music scene and had to pay $5 to get in. That seems a bit ridiculous to me (charging cover in Highlands Ranch? Really?) but the music was good and we had a good time. I'll definitely keep coming back!!

There's nothing special about this place. It's a regular bar in the Highlands area. The downfall would be that the location isn't the best.

********Request to sit in the Balcony********* Was here for a quick biz trip. Visited Lodo's as a quick reprieve to what is going to be a long day. We walked in around 2pm on a Monday. There were three other customers aside from us. Not just that but there were limited personnel as well. That made the service a little slow. The place is clean with an indoor and outdoor sitting areas. Nice view of the Rockies from the balcony. Lots of TV for the sports enthusiasts at the bar. I tried the best ever Turkey Pretzel Roll Sandwich with Sweet Potato Fries. So yummy! $7.99. Plenty of beer on tap. But I didn't get any. I was like I said on a biz trip :(

We went here for the first time last week, and while we were definitely underwhelmed with the food the service was very good. When we got there, it was a bit late, but there was still a decent crowd and they were still serving food, so it is a decent place for late night food, which drew us to it first off. We sat at the bar and the noticed they had a fairly substantial beer selection on draft and decided to go that route. After tasting a few options, we settled on a seasonal rarity that they had access to, that was apparently a mistake by a local brewery, but was delicious. We got a few different options off the menu for food, which were ok, but as I said above, were underwhelming. The green chili was very boring and bland and very tomatoey. It tasted like a spicy tomato soup. The salad and sandwich we also got were better, but still fairly boring. On a whole I am giving it the A-Ok rating, and feel that it is just that, A-ok. We aren't in the area a ton, but we would go back if we were. The service we had was good, it was prompt and very friendly. It is definitely a place, that would be good to go watch a game. Lots of TVs. We would go back, but we will be trying different foods. :)

Possibly the worst food I have ever had. Had the sliders for happy hour. Thin hockey pucks that were obviously frozen. How hard is it to get ground beef and make a decent patty? Came here before that with my boyfriend and can't even remember what we had then, but it was definitely NOT memorable. Cool deck, though, but with Brothers across the way now, I recommend going there. And I will say that your customer service is better, but that's not enough to get me to walk through the door. Let's do some REAL food! Come on, you're more than just a bar.

So it's been a while since I've been down to this location... but we were meeting some friends who live in the area and figured we'd give it a shot. It's exactly how I remember it... mediocre... Food: the menu has lots of "fancy" things on it, but they don't quite deliver. Seems they should stick to simple bar food. As a table, we had one of the flatbreads, the breakfast sandwich, a pulled pork sandwich, and some chips... Everything was... okay. And overpriced. Service: this is tough for me, because our server was super friendly... but slow... and kind of confused I think. Downstairs hostess was super sweet, upstairs hostess was definitely had way more important things to do than her job... Atmosphere: I have to give points for the fancy new upstairs area. It's pretty sweet. In conclusion: decent option for getting a few drinks and watching the game... but I probably wouldn't plan for a meal there..

This is probably my third time going here more recently, and overall maybe fifth time (prior times were as a family with our kids and other families...like after the kids' soccer or football game). This review will be based on my more recent visits. I just went last night to celebrate with my neighbors...it was one of their birthdays and I was the DD (and that doesn't mean designated drunk). Depite not having anything but water and "cherry" Pepsi, I had a really great time. We went there primarily to dance, which starts ~10...it is one of the few places near us where you can dance and not have to go downtown. Note: they are still renovating, so the upstairs was not open. As far as the changes that they did downstairs: apparently they enclosed the kitchen area so customers can't see them working, moved the bathroom to the other side by where they set up the dance floor, and put in new flooring. Since I have not been a regular there, all those noted changes were based on someone else sharing them with me. I met a mortgage guy, who was convincing me I needed to refinance and also sharing with me his music interests. As it turns out, he was there with his buddies where one of them (the owner of the mortgage company) already knew one of my neighbors. I always have fun talking to and learning new things from people. The customers there were very friendly, bartenders really on top of things, and tons of staff everywhere. Birthday girl wanted to dance, so the right before the DJ started to play music we rounded folks up and got them excited to dance (or so we thought). Actually quite a few did dance right away and we all had a blast! I would definitely go back and look forward to when they open the upstairs (I was there another time before they began their rennovations when a different friend rented the upstairs and had a private birthday party for her husband...that was very fun too). Hope to see you there...and yes, I would love to dance with you!

Decided to give Lodo's another try. This time food was excellent but the service was very slow. They took forever to bring out appetizers and the manager comped the appetizer due to the delay. Also, took a long time to bring out beverages, refill water, etc. Food was hot and fresh so that definitely helped my rating this time around!

Each time I have been it has sucked and to my surprise continues to go down hill. This is a shame because its in a great location and the roof top area is really nice. I really want to like this place for the views and location but can not get beyond the service and treatment. FYI - one thing learned is that if you tip the Hosts you will get sat MUCH sooner. The servers are doing you a favor to bring you an drink or menu so get used to it. Prior to leaving this review I did ask to talk to the manager who apparently has no customer service skills and instead of listening tells you if you don't like the lack of service you are free to leave. She believes because the place is full / busy on a Friday they must be fabulous. - I can give you a long list of businesses that were busy right up until they weren't then they couldn't get customers. Truly sad because somewhere there are investors allowing this service to put their future at risk.

I sometimes feel like a broken record when I write some reviews after reading other people's reviews of places. But! When I stop by a sports bar, I want a simple meal (like a burger), I cold beer and a bunch of big TV's. Fast service and reasonable prices make me smile. Lodo's did everything I expected and I could watch the game. I didn't wander up to the new patio since it was packed, but the lower bar area was what I wanted Friday evening.

Came here once for a happy hour. It was jam-packed to the gills and the drinks were watered down. Came here again with the fam for brunch and the service was just okay and the food was just so-so. Probably didn't help that the place was a ghost town on a Sunday morning. They get an extra star for the cool patio, but that's about it.

Cougarville does exist, and its pseudo name is Highlands Ranch. The watering hole for this town exists in Lodo's Bar and Grill Highlands Ranch. The place isn't terrible, but the demographic is far different than that found in the real Lodo's. What do you expect when you are located smack dab in suburbia? Despite the clientele, the place is okay. My aversion rests in the fact that the DJ only would play techno and hip hop which did little in the efforts of getting the older crowd on the dance floor. Additionally, following the last NCAA tournament basketball game of the night that was on the big screen and half the other screens, CBS aired 60 Minutes which no one bothered to change. Just observing half the bar reading the 60 Minutes subtitles with hip hop in the background and an empty dance floor made this Saturday night not quite as crazy as one would hope.

First things first. They've updated their upstairs patio, and it's really nice now. Second things second...I've been hit on by far too many cougars here. Third things third...it's a fine drinking establishment with mediocre food. Fourth things fourth...it's a sports bar as well. Will I return? Probably, but only because there aren't many better options in the area and the patio rocks.

So glad my friends invited me out to LoDo's last night for dinner and drinks. What a great venue. We arrived just in time to watch the sunset which was amazing from that huge balcony. Of course I took pictures...I mean come on. The place was packed which I definitely expected for a Friday night. This place is huge between upstairs and downstairs. Both bars are also massive. We were able to snag a table in the downstairs bar and were served by Jade (great server! Super personable and she was on it with our food, drinks, boxes, and then check.) I had a Left Hand Milk Stout that was great. Will definitely be drinking this again. Friends each had a marg: The Perfect Marg & The Heavenly Marg. They loved 'em! Settled on some eats: Pulled BBQ Pork Sliders...oh my God! I couldn't stop eating them. They were so good. Perfect BBQ sauce and the meat was very tender. I'm a total french fry snob and theirs were perfect amount of crunch and nice and salty. Haven't had fries that good in forever. B had the all you can eat fish and chips which were huge! The each plate he consumed came with two large pieces of fish. They covered more than half of the large square plate they were served on. M had nachos which were paired with paired with this green chile cheese sauce. I'm not even a fan of green chile but it was super tasty. She also had the sliders from the happy hour/bar menu which she raved about. We were there pretty early so we didn't stick around for the DJ but will have to come back and check it out and do a lil dancin'. This place is not your neighbourhood bar feel if that's what you're looking for but the service and food and drink selection were great. Will definitely be adding LoDo's to my regular hang out list.

Your typical bar and grill/hot spot for cougar sightings. I like the food, but then again I tend to like anything in buffalo sauce. The fish tacos are also pretty good. Trivia is on Tuesday nights and an fun time. I prefer it on week nights when it's not so busy you can't find a seat or move. The new patio upstairs has an awesome view of the tech center.

I've always been a fan of Lodo's downtown, but the staff here tells me they have different menus. I'll give it that the rooftop area provides a great vista, although not sure why, in the remodel, that much of the bar seats face away from that view. I'll also give credit for decent happy hour times, prices and selection. But the angus sliders I ordered were akin to shoe leather, and the bartender forgot to give me a setup (a common theme in Denver restaurants). When the wind kicked up on the roof, they closed several of the "garage" doors, but it did not appear there is any a/c n the bar/dining area, so it immediately got uncomfortable. As is fairly typical of places that have a strong feature (view, location, theme), the service and/or food usually takes a back seat. If Lodos kicked the service and food experience into high gear, I'd go back more often. As it is, nothing remarkable here.

Great happy hour specials, daily drink specials, decent bar food and friendly staff. Fun place to sit on a patio and have some drinks with friends or get bellato and hit on cougars.

I've been coming to this Lodo's since it opened and have had nothing but awesome service and a great ambiance. The rooftop area is amazing - you can see the mountians and downtown from there. I actually met my husband downstairs 5 years ago on a Monday when we were both there watching football. We are more 'happy hour' people than 'dance/club' people, so we go there for their happy hour specials on weekdays until 7 and sometimes on Sundays for brunch. We don't go there for Friday/Saturday nights to go out, so I can't speak for that part of it. I've seen some other reviews saying the service was bad, but every time we've sat at a table we've had great service - although we normally sit at one of the bars. They have trivia on Tuesdays which is pretty fun too.

So last stop on the girls night out was Lo Do's. After quickly running through our other options we ended up here about 10:30p on a Saturday. The parking lot was packed and filled with sheriff's cars (?). We went in anyways and actually found a table on the side of the dance floor (that was empty). The table was nice since we had done our fair share of standing for the night, however no drink service at the tables. Every time we wanted a new round a couple of us had to go to the bar and drag all those drinks back to our table. Um, ick? Heels and booze are not a good combo! Still as the night picked up we danced a bit and drank a bit and had a generally good time. By midnight the tiny dance floor was elbow to elbow and music ear piercingly loud. So we finally found our spot to stick for awhile. Can't say it was the best, but it did the job. Note: Try the gummi bear shot. It was liquid candy!

Just wanted to say how cool Brian K. the bar tender at Lodo's is... It had been about 4 months from the last time I stopped in to have a drink with the wife, I went to the bar and recognized Brian K. behind the bar. He came over and said hi and even remembered my name. I don't want people to think I have a "man cursh" or "bro-mance" but it does make you fell welcome when the bar tender knows your name! He made the drinks fast and they were great! Keep up the good work and well will be sure to stop in again!

My review of this place is obviously a mix between the food and the bar atmosphere. The food is average at best. It is like an Applebee's or Chili's when it comes to food. The bar atmosphere, however, is one of the best in metro Denver. Their rooftop patio is incredible with great views. The service there is also top-notch. We got our drinks and food very quickly and did not have to wait for another round. So, if you are going there to eat, you might be a little disappointed. If you are going there for a night out with friends, you will thoroughly enjoy yourself.

Had a blast here on New Years Eve. After viewing the website, I imagined the place to be an older, much slower crowd. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in to find it was the opposite. After a few drinks and a quick dance on the first floor I ventured upstairs where the real party was! Loved the live band, dance floor and the outdoor patio. Would definitely visit again when in the area.

The expansion & remodel is almost completed and Lodo's did an amazing job. The new upstairs covered patio and deck is IMO now one of the finest in Denver. The outstanding vantage point gives you fantastic unobstructed views of the entire Front Range. On a clear sunny day it is spectacular! The new space includes fireplaces and tons of HDTV for viewing sporting events. Kudos to Lodo's management for making the new patio all NON-Smoking!!! Most of the old staff is gone and there are many new faces that are getting the hang of the recently reopened restaurant. The patio gets really busy and service is relaxed and can drag at times. Runners bring food upstairs from the lower level kitchen and if mistakes are made it can take a while to get them resolved. This is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. IMO the food is great. Don't go expecting a gourmet meal because after all it is really just upscale bar fare. The Mahi Mahi Fish Tacos, Shrimp & Avocado Salad, Mushroom & Swiss Burger, & Shrimp Bucket are all great choices. The Ahi Tuna Wonton Crisp appetizer is over the top delicious! Lodo's is busy and is a popular meeting place for South Metro singles so they will be busy during peak hours. Cougar Nation is healthy & well in Highlands Ranch. You can also make reservations on OpenTable.com . Parking is best on the South side in front of the vacant Circuit City store.

Drove by last night at 5 PM, the place was dark. No lights on, no cars in the parking lot. Still Open?

I usually go here to drink. The few times I've had food it was pretty good, but nothing special. It's a pretty good place to go drinking if your looking for a lively atmosphere. It gets pretty crowded on the weekends, which is fun depending on what your looking for. I've been drunk enough to dance a few times and I had a great time!
(4)
Guy S.
I just have one question, when you walk in and the place only has a few tables seated why do they sit you next to the kitchen? We went for lunch today and that is where we ended up, can't the waitress walk a little farther so we don't have to listen to all the noise. Just thinking out loud here, food was alright and the wait staff was friendly.
(2)
Renee W.
I really like the location and roof top deck! I also like $2.50 drafts on a good beer list. Ahi tuna sliders with sweet potato fries = delish! Service was also friendly, prompt and he definitely made sure we were taken care of with fresh beers. Good Happy Hour.....Cheers!

Best Burgers in Denver. Their beer selection is grand. Staff is very friendly. The bartenders introduce themselves to you, get your name and talk to you if you are in the mood for conversation. The buffalo burgers are my favorite, but I like all their burgers. Get there early if you want a table on the roof top.

Great place for happy hour on the patio. Good happy hour prices and the best view in the area. I don't go here when the patio is closed.

I have been here twice for 2 different peoples birthday parties. When writing this review I am talking about Saturday nights (party zone). Well the place gets busy with all sorts of types. On the dance floor there were drunk cougars, jersey wannabes, your average bar wierdo's and some older gentelman. So there is a wider variety of people than Denver downtown main spots. The drinks are cheaper than downtown and even though its busy you can usually find a chair. They play the top 40 hip hop music. *The bar guys/ LODO's are pretty cool if you are a DD they will not charge for soda while all your friends get trashed.

Waiter made a joke about my 25% cash tip so I took another 20$ out of the ATM to make him happy .... It's a joke I will never return. It's a total shame I loved the layout of the business!

$5.00 cover on a Friday night!! give me a break!!! Lodos downtown only charges 2 and that's downtown. Front door was swarming with police and security. No way not fun for me.

Staff was pretty accommodating for a little office party we had. Was liking the spinach artichoke dip in appetizers. Every other appetizer seemed to be fried. In fact, I learned not to skim on details because in doing so I thought grilled chicken wrapped in egg roll would be a healthier option, but the grilled chicken ended up fried too. The southwest cigar, as it is called, was still pretty tasty regardless of the surprise upon delivery :)

I know it was game day, but Lodo's was easily the loudest sports bar I've ever been to. Absolutely deafening. The menu was as boring and predictable as the decor and ambiance. If we didn't have a Get One Free coupon (and if I wasn't super hungry), I would have gone somewhere else. My omelette ($7) was mediocre - I asked for onion, bacon and green chili (made the mistake of assuming the chili would be of the pork variety) but I ended up with green onion, bacon, and mild green chili peppers (yes, "Beth S," they were most definitely chili peppers. Have a look at the PHOTO I took of it). Disappointing. Couldn't taste any cheese at all. The hash browns were tepid, barely cooked and bland. His breakfast burrito was also average - the coldcut-type ham in it was kinda weird. The only real flavor came from the accompanying little pot of salsa. Service pretty much sucked ass. Drinks weren't refilled unless we flagged down the server, and we waited forever to place our orders and to get the food. The server was aloof, unfriendly, and obviously didn't really give a crap. There is absolutely nothing about Lodo's that makes me want to return.

I can honestly say that I frequented this place too often since it was right next door to my work. The patio in the summer time is the absolute best...who wouldn't want to have a beer and grab a tan during lunch. The staff is always very and the food is pretty decent. The only reason for the four star rating is because of the prices...they tend to be a bit out of control for what you get. Try there veggie burger, it's wonderful, one of the best I've ever had. Their southwest chicken salad (minus the chicken) is pretty darn good too, just ask for a side of bbq sauce to drizzle over the top and you won't be dissapointed. $2 pints during lunch too on most drafts...I'm sure they have a good happy hour, but I was typically there in between work. Beware of the older males...they like to linger and creep on the young ladies. And if you're lucky you just might get to see a lap dance like me!!

Hotspot if you are looking for one. We did not get to the upstairs deck, but that is the place to go when the weather is great according to folks I have talked to. The main level bar is where we ate, the food good and the service very good. Enjoy!

I went with a group of co-workers. All 8 of us were from out of town. Good food is universal. I had the pot roast and it was DELICIOUS and a very large portion. I also had the tortilla soup. It also was DELICIOUS. The server was awesome. She moved tables to accommodate our large party, handled our slip check request, even splitting alcoholic beverages off separately so we wouldn't get flagged by the corporate T&E police. Many large TVs everywhere to catch the games. Very pleased.

10 pm on Saturday night.. I have never seen so many meat heads in my life.. 90% DUDES. What is this Venice Beach? Hey lets all go take some steroids and go hang out at Lodo's... lol I did see some hot ladies but they each had about 7 guys around them trying to get a word in. 2 stars because the appetizer was good. Had the chips, salsa, artichoke dip, cheese dip, and guac. Called the appetizer Trio.. or something like that.. All for 8 bucks. Deal! Really good.

Really? We're going to LoDo's in Highlands Ranch? Really? What else is going on tonight? LoDo's huh? No other options tonight? Whatever, let's just go, it's close by. Downtown doesn't sound good. Fine, we'll go up to the patio. Sweet, I felt like climbing a billion stairs anyway.

So far Lodo's has the best fish taco's I've had in the Denver area. We sat on the roof top patio a couple of weeks ago and during the sprinkle of rain the staff were all attentive to keeping us dry & comfortable. Can't wait to go back! (I will say it is quite crowded with interesting people during Happy Hour though)

Wonderful person who is the owner, nice new building, great view, decent food. But, there are just a few servers and 'bouncer' types that just ruin it. Over and over again...

This LoDo's is a tale of two different places in one. Most of the time it's a great place to eat, drink and watch sports on many tv's, especially in the newly remodeled upstairs. The upstairs has been greatly enlarged, most of which is under a roof now and a few seats are completely outside, but they have giant doors (garage type) that open when the weather is good so you still get the fresh, warm air but are not actually outside. I like the food here. Not too spendy, a lot of dishes are around $10 -$14. They have an extensive amount of beer on tap. Good craft beers too, not just the monotonous, mass marketed stuff. I say "two different places" because since it is so close to yuppie central i.e. the Tech Center, a lot of the "look at me" types converge on LoDo's Thurs and Fri after work. A LOT of them pack the place for a couple hours and help pay for the remodeling. It's a veritible meat market during that time which is quite fine by me, but it's not a good place to bring kids though many do. Outside of those times, it's just fine for kids & families and the wait staff is phenominal. I've never had bad or unfriendly service at this place. They don't bother me too much or too little, and do pretty good at knowing when I need something or need to be left alone. I'd recommend this place highly. Just know that it's a much different environment on Thurs & Fri at Happy Hour times. Not that that's a bad thing.

The new patio is great, feels like you are hanging out downtown with a great view. Nice looking crowd, great bar for South Denver.

After a recent visit back during their renovation, I have to say this place doesn't disappoint. They seem to have re-vamped the menu since the last time I was in, and I'm excited to see what their new completed space looks like. I'm sure it's tough to be in the business of Bar & Grill, as there are so many. I think Lodo's does a solid job with great service and good menu variety.
(4)
Lauren B.
The only time I go here is on a nice Saturday or Sunday afternoon for lunch on the roof-top patio. The food is just okay but the views are worth it. The only thing on the menu that is OUTSTANDING are their nachos. By far, the best nachos in town. Service is not great. I feel like every time we go there our waiter/waitress is hungover which means slow service and grouchy. I also feel like they never have the roof-top patio bar staffed enough. I usually see one (maybe two) bartenders there, which is not nearly enough. It took about 10 minutes for our drinks to be delivered.
(3)
Shane O.
Don't come to this establishment looking for the finest meal of your lifetime, and you'll be just fine. Its a sports bar, with above average tavern fare. Phenomenal bar service, friendly bartenders and friendly patrons. These folks know how to make a cocktail, and the beer is always nice and cold. If you're looking for a quiet place to have an intimate conversation, look elsewhere...this is a sports bar, and it tends to be loud...deal with it, or not... The upstairs deck has a great view, and somewhat quieter, again with great service at the bar. Table service is also quite attentive, and a great place to enjoy a sunny afternoon.

We went for the pseudo-Happy Hour and found the Bud Light over priced and the appetizers pricey and not all that tasty. For the $50 we spent we would have been better off going to our regular spots, Yard House or Pappadeaux and gotten a lot more for my money. They have a great view and that is it!!!

I give it 3 stars, because the food is very good. Other than that this is a total cougar and mougar pick up joint on most nights.

On my recent trip to Denver a group of us went to Lodo's at Highlands Ranch. The new remodel looks fantastic and the food was really great. I had the fish tacos that were outstanding. Service was great and a good time was had by all. Can't wait to visit the new patio expansion on my next trip.

I ate hear a few weeks ago and found the service indifferent, the food acceptable, and the price a bit high. The view to the mountains from the upper deck is nice and I will say that the service was reasonably fast, but they never offered to refill an ice tea and never asked if I wanted dessert. I was never even offered a refilled water glass before the server announced she was leaving. I give it two stars on the strength of the reasonable food and view.

I live really close to LoDo's. I want to like and it and have it be my go-to bar in the area, but it's not. I've been here on many occasions and I always leave with the same thoughts. What are you trying to be LoDo's? Are you a sports bar? Are you a trendy suburbanite hang out? Are you a great spot to get a date? Are you a pre-dinner drinking place or a late night place? I don't think they know either. I've had some of the food and it's never been bad, but it's nothing to write home about either. Again, confused...are you a Mexican place or an American bar food place? Last night I met a friend here before she left on her vacation. We love to share some chips and guac and gossip over girly drinks. Last night, the chips were on point. They were warm and just the right thickness with the perfect amount of salt. The guac was mediocre, the salsa seemed jarred. I had a watermelon martini that arrived as a clear liquid. I was confused again. It was supposed to have cranberry juice in it. I took one drink to discover the cranberry was missing. The waiter must have seen my "bitter drink face" and he swooped in to say he realized something was wrong. They corrected the drink, but it still wasn't what I imagined. My friend had something called an MG (mango vodka, grape vodka, and red bull). I thought it was pretty good, but I like the flavor of red bull. Oh and the only thing available as a happy hour special was beers on tap. No well specials or food specials. Pity. I'm sure I'll be back here as it's a good location for me, but I wish there were other places to go down in HR.

I went today (a Sunday) for brunch with my girlfriend and her mother and sister. Mom arrived at noon, sister not too long after that, and we got there about 12:15pm. Since we knewthey were there already, we told the hostess that we would look for them upstairs and they were fine with that. The server happened to be at the table when we arrived. He handed us menus. We had seen online that they had a brunch menu, so we asked if we could get one. He grabbed one brunch menu from the next table, handed it to us, and then walked away...rather than, say, asking us if we wanted anything to drink (my GF already knew she wanted the bottomless mimosas). We didn't see him again until about 12:30pm. By then, we were also ready to order our food. Here is what we ordered: Me: Hangover hoagie (shredded pork and eggs any style -- I requested sunny-side up) GF: Cottage cheese and a fruit cup (no fresh fruit) Sis: Salad, dressing on the side, susbstitute feta for gorgonzola Mom: Burger, cooked medium With two empty waters and an empty "bottomless" mimosa on the table, we still had to flag down our server to get refills. He came back from the bar to tell my GF that they were OUT OF ORANGE JUICE more than an hour before the "bottomless mimosa" special was set to end. They offered alternative juice choices -- my GF selected pineapple without complaining. When she finished that one 15 minutes later, we had not seen our waiter, so we flagged down a hostess and asked if she could track down our waiter and put in a refill request for us. She asked us who our watier was. Somehow I thought she should know that? But by then we hadn't seen him in so long I couldn't describe him anyway. "Guy. Young." "Was it Jake?" "I don't know, he never told us his name." By then, the five-top next to us (in another server's section) which had been seated AFTER we placed our order had already gotten their drinks AND food. Our food did not arrive for another 10 minutes -- fully 40 minutes after we placed our order -- delivered by a busboy rather than our waiter. The salad showed up with no dressing and no cheese. The burger was well done. They brought my GF her cottage cheese. Then the busboy asked if he could get anything? "Yeah, could we get some silverware please?" (Our server had never delivered any.) "Also, she ordered her salad with feta cheese and dressing on the side and got neither. Oh, and my girlfriend ordered a fruit cup, too." The waiter then came over with (just) the fruit cup and asked us if he could get us anything else. "Yes, silverware please. And she needs the side of dressing. Also, she ordered her salad with feta but doesn't have any." Response: "Oh, we're out of feta. I'll get the other stuff." He did not offer to get some other cheese, and at no time did he apologize for any of this. (Seriously, kid, "I'm sorry" is so easy to say and goes SUCH a long way that there is just no excuse not to throw it around even if you have a doubt about whether it's necessary. It can't fix everything, but not saying it can definitely make things worse.) It was at this point that I realized that the WHITE of my "sunny-side up" eggs were not fully cooked. When he came back a few minutes later with the silverware and fruit cup. I asked if I could please speak to the manager. He came to the table five minutes later. The first words out of his mouth were: "I am SOOOO sorry. You guys don't need to worry about any of this" and gestured at the table. I thanked him for apologizing and for being generous with his remedy and asked him if he was having a rough day? "Ummmm...yeah." I offered to explain all that had gone wrong just so that he knew, and he seemed genuinely interested in hearing what I had to say. He said that considering all had gone wrong, he probably would have been more upset and was glad we didn't lay into him when he showed up at the table. I told him I appreciated the immediate apology. He said they were "still getting used to the new space", but I don't see how opening a new space accounts for running out of OJ on mimosa day, then undercooking eggs AND overcooking a hamburger for ONE table's order The manager's apology and that we didn't have to pay for anything are the only reasons this review is two stars instead of one. The view is indeed great and the beer selection is pretty good, but I wouldn't eat there again even if I knew it was going to be free.

Lodo's isn't really the type of restaurant you would go out of your way to eat at. We go to watch Buckeye games since it's an official gamewatch location. Lodo's is consistent. The food is decent. Service is pretty good. Some of the foods that I've really enjoyed: Mahi Mahi Fish Tacos, California Wrap, Turkey Pretzel Roll Sandwich, Giant Pretzel w/ Queso, and Sweet Potato Fries. Their tortilla chips are made fresh. Mmm... we had happy hour nachos the last time we were there. Delish. We'll keep going as long as Ohio State keeps it as a gamewatch location. I don't mind eating here 4-6 times during football season and a few times during basketball season. They have plenty of TVs to watch all the big games.

Decent food. Horrible/slow service. Great scenery, especially at the top during sunset. Got the "spicy" fish tacos that were as bland as possible. However the jalapeno spin dip was amazing.

Have gone here a zillion times but this was the first time since the renovation of the deck was done and it is amazing. Fireplace, couches - so classy now!!! There are just 2 complaints - and I hate to complain...but......I ordered a salad and wanted Ceasar dressing - well they dont offer that anymore. What restaurant doesnt have Ceasar dressing? Then my hubby wanted blue cheese dressing - they dont have that anymore either!! Are ya kidding me?? Why would you get rid of some of the most popular dressings? Very weird. And the service - well it sucked. It was just me and my husband and 2 other tables got served before we did. Usually I could care less - but our orders were really quite simple (minus the dressings) - salad and a burger. But overall, absolutely love this place and cannot wait to sit on the deck all summer!!!!

Great place to enjoy a cold beer on the rooftop patio with views of the Front Range! Hummus was good, salad was fresh. Better than average bar food. I would avoid going at high traffic times like happy hour on Thursdays and Fridays if you don't enjoy large crowds.

The place is roomy, upstairs patio has lovely views, and we're not usually disappointed by the food. However, the service is shoddy. The servers and hostesses were rude and not helpful in the least when it came to trying to get us a table. There were tables that were unused for an entire hour that some servers said were reserved so we could not sit and others said should be fine at which to sit. Rudeness made the food/drinks/environment much less desirable.

In town on business, and we stopped at this place for lunch. The atmosphere is relaxed and the outdoor seating / balcony offered a great view. The wait staff was great and quick. The menu selection was good with reasonable prices. I opted for the salad special (apparently they run a lunch salad special each weekday) and it was quite good. We all had something different, and everybody in our party was pleased. I would eat here again the next time I'm in the Denver area.

It's otay, cougar hang out for sure. Service is lack luster, yet location is good and dependable for happy hour, although their is much better choices within 5 miles. Nonetheless, if I were back in my early 20's this would be a fun hang out.

I am a fan of one of their burgers. I had the hickory burger, again, and it was great as always. I also love the thick fries, so much better than thin fries. The rest of the food there is fine, I just found the one thing I like on their menu and keep coming back for more.

I would have to be dragged here to go again. I went once with my ex-boyfriends mother for lunch one day. The food was alright, service was decent...good experience but nothing to write home about. The next time I went it was with a group of girlfriends of mine. They cleared the floor for some dancing and played some good music that you'd like to dance to - but typically don't get to at a club. It was a fun night. I don't know what happened between then and the last time I went but holy crap can you say Yuppie-City? I was standing in the middle of the bar pressed up tit-to-tit with my friends trying to scream at each other so we could be heard, and then I get my hair pulled....I turn around and it's some 50+ drunkard with a giant smile on his face. Would have been a decent smile if he weren't missing three of his teeth. He put his hand on my back and was trying to talk to me. After trying to politley tell him to piss off, I ended up reaching back and twisting his hand so that he'd stop touching me. My friends ended up ditching me for these guys that came to see them (I'm taken at this time so have no interest really in meeting anyone). My other friend showed up and we ended up driving all over Highlands Ranch and went to Del Taco cause we couldn't stand to be in there anymore. That was a helluva lot more fun than staying in that crowded fake "club".

This is the place to come if you like feeling like you are looking to pick someone up, or be picked up, and don't mind crappy food. That's all I can say. The food I had was terrible, and we won't go back.

" I feel a Yelp Coming" is the BF's new favorite phrase when we're out and the food or service is less than stellar. Lodo's does have several pluses, and I would be remiss should I ignore the positives as the rooftop bar- great for getting fresh air, and getting away from screaming toddlers, and screaming 20 somethings. Ok, that's about it for the pluses. Part of my lack luster experience is my fault; at least this last time -- I've been here 2x, the 1st being a decent enough burger, hence the average of 2 stars. This last meal was an Ahi Tuna Salad. Now I've had my share of Ahi Salads... Denver best being at The Cherry Creek Grill, 2nd best at California Cafe. Lodo's Ahi was a joke. Yes, my bad for ordering a dish like that here, but why have something on the menu - the most expensive item, no less, if you can't prepare it. You see, the Ahi was frozen. It came in its original state, sitting on a bed of lettuce, the top leaves frozen to the fish from the residual frost. I kid you not. Upon receiving my order, the kitchen took the ancient sesame coated tuna from the freezer, slapped it on the grill for probably 2 minutes each side; the recommended cooking time for fresh, room temp tuna, then without testing the temp, slapped it on the bed of greens. Voila --still frozen fish., I take a bite, and much to my surprise - it's a tuna popsicle---a FishSicle- - Not a pleasant experience, and now I have to send it back -- Yuck...I'd rather stab myself with fork, but I'm hungry- The waitress comes over, and I explain that the tuna is frozen. Now the fun starts. She puts her finger on the fish, and yes,, it's frozen. She takes the plate, and disappears. Minutes later, her and her manager appear with the dish. The manager asks me what the problem is. Duh??? Ms Manager.....did your employee not walk over to you with the problem? OK...I'll bite ( pardon the pun). Ms Manager, the fish is still frozen. Do you want that cooked more, asks Ms Manager? Not after your employee put her finger in the fish to see if I was lying. Ms. Manager informs me that the Ahi comes frozen, and how hard it is to sear the outside, while having the middle stay rare. Then why do you have the dish on the menu, I ask? Ms. Manager can't come up with an answer. Meanwhile, the BF finished his meal. So I went to Lodo's and all I got was the Agita. Ps The Manager dropped off the check herself, and proudly announced we weren't charged for the tuna. Yes, I'm still laughing--almost worth it for the story--

I really enjoy this place. The top deck is awesome and when I was still single it was a great place to meet new people. The food is always great and huge portions. I particularly love the bbq burger with the friend onions, and their mahi mahi taco's. The nacho are also huge and wonderful, and the staff and management there bend over backwards to make sure you are happy. I was recently there for a business meet-up and they reserved our tables for us and took very good care of us. For lunch it's even a great place for the kids.

I came here to watch a USC football game with some SC fans. I still can't believe I drove WA~Y out from Boulder... It takes work to stay dedicated. Anyways... Lodo's was not that bad. For someone who went there to watch the game I appreciated that they had a lot of screen to pick from no matter where you were standing. I ordered the shrimp bucket which was pretty good. The shrimp was big and plump fried in batter and came with 3 different sauces: chipotle mayo, tartar sauce and cocktail sauce. The fries were good too. If you're looking for a place to have a nice drink and ambiance, don't come here. If you want to watch the game while you get some grub, this is your place.

so me and my friend just wanted to go out a little late...only about 11pm but since he lives so far south he didn't want to go all the way into denver. we made a point to call ahead and ask if they as well as the kitchen was open. they told us yes so we drove up to this place to just get some drinks and something to eat. however when we got there we sat ourselves and by the time someone came up to us and asked what we wanted to drink they told us that the kitchen had been closed for over an hour...30min BEFORE we called...the patio was nice and all but when you tell us we can eat and drink and we get there and we drove for no reason..that in my book is a big no no. so dont go here after 10pm. the end.

Service was very bad. Ordered mozzarella sticks for appetizer. She brought out onion rings instead, and then claimed we asked for onion rings. She brought the rings back to the kitchen, and about one minute later entrees show up. Even if she had got the order right, it was clear she made no effort to time the delivery between appetizer and entree. At one point she grabbed my son's water glass for a refill ... the glass never made it back. We had no silverware to eat with and the waitress was not to be found. After 5 minutes staring at the entrees we spotted some silverware across the room and took care of the problem on our own. About 10 minutes into our meal the correct appetizer arrives. It sits there; what's the point of an appetizer after the entrees have arrived? Before we are finished eating the waitress swoops in and attempts to make off with our partially finished plates. I explain to her that I am not done with my meal and request she leave my plate. Throughout the meal there was a sense of being rushed out the door. Food was standard deep fried fare and neither good nor bad. The service was rude and sloppy. First time we have tried this place and after tonight's experience we will not be back for a second visit.

I heard this was the place to be on the weekends, but I've only tried it once for lunch. I haven't had very good food in Colorado restaurants, so I ordered a very simple avocado and turkey sandwich. Wow, they can even mess that up. They put a whole lot of cheese in it and bacon! They grilled it up which is fine, but now all the fat from the bacon was in my sandwich! The fries that came with it weren't good either.

(2)David B.

(4)Melissa N.

Our server Bryce was great. He was very knowledgeable. Recommended the southwest cigars and the elk Mac and cheese. Both were incredible. Will definitely recommend this location and will be returning. Not a bad idea at all.

(5)Vicki O.

(2)Jim K.

A group of went for lunch, sat upstairs and it was very nice The food was a hit and beer selection was pretty good The service was helpful and attentive
(4)Allyson M.
The place itself is good but the cops like to sit outside this location and wait to bust people getting in their cars after leaving the bar. If you want to avoid a DUI or a run-in with cops for any reason, either avoid this bar or have a designated driver with you.
(3)Matt F.
Great patio, service is sub par, food good but over priced. Go for the patio that's about it.
(3)Rohit S.
(4)Henry R.
Great place to watch the game and have an amazing view of Denver. If you have friends in town, this is where you should bring them. Beer selection is impressive and food quality and type are perfect.
(4)T S.
Food was okay nothing special. Atmosphere was poor. It's good if you like the bar scene I suppose. Very loud and unorganized. They sat my date and I at a large round booth which was really awkward for sitting and talking to one another. Won't go back here again.
(2)Kelly G.
(3)Mary P.
Usually really busy, especially on the weekends so be ready to wait a bit or sit at the bar. Great happy hour and brunch. Beautiful views of the front range and Denver.
(4)Josh K.
(1)M R.
Been several times for drinks and food. Sat upstairs and downstairs, and service has always been good. For bar food, the food has been great! Cold beer and lots of TVs; have always been able to see the game we want.
(5)Bryon H.

(3)Lynn B.
(4)Stan H.
(4)Dave A.
great place to hang out with friends and drink at night. The bar and beer selection is great! Also the patio with the mountain views look amazing.
(4)Glen P.
(1)Lindsey A.

(4)Jeffrey J.

(2)Joe Y.
Great view especially at upstairs rooftop. Lots of drink specials and beers on tap. Above average bar food and don't have to pay $10 for parking because they brought LODO to the burbs.
(4)Jeff S.
Cheers!
(4)Lisa L.
Never had a bad visit here. Great view of the mountains! Perfect place for large groups!!
(4)Nick B.
(2)Bobby l.
(3)Claudia B.
(4)Vanessa C.
There's nothing special about this place. It's a regular bar in the Highlands area. The downfall would be that the location isn't the best.
(3)Janet O.
I was like I said on a biz trip :(
(4)Jeremy T.
(3)Tiffany B.

(4)Brooke A.
(3)Neil W.
The food was average. Nothing special here.
(2)Lou C.
(1)Lee S.
(4)Tony S.
PFM! Yeah. Peyton F'n Manning! This place was fun. Enjoyed a few good laughs with some coworkers and the folks working here were really nice. Very good time had by all.
(4)Correy H.
Great service and the food has jumped up on flavor. Great ranch dressing!
(5)Jason J.
(2)Carmen S.
Lodos it's the place I will bring friend and family! Our waitress Devin was so nice we will be back.
(4)Chris M.
very snobby bar maids and over priced drinks. Not to mention the awful crowd and music.
(1)Nick C.
(2)Terry B.

What a great place with an awesome rooftop and view of the rockies. We had great service and a good time. Ian was are server and was very attentive and prompt.
(3)Lindsey G.
(3)Jan D.
(2)Ryan S.
Great happy hour specials, daily drink specials, decent bar food and friendly staff. Fun place to sit on a patio and have some drinks with friends or get bellato and hit on cougars.
(4)Dana S.

(5)Jill D.
(3)Tiffany B.

(4)Jay L.
Drove by last night at 5 PM, the place was dark. No lights on, no cars in the parking lot. Still Open?
(4)Ric Y.
(4)Guy S.
(2)Renee W.
I really like the location and roof top deck! I also like $2.50 drafts on a good beer list. Ahi tuna sliders with sweet potato fries = delish! Service was also friendly, prompt and he definitely made sure we were taken care of with fresh beers. Good Happy Hour.....Cheers!
(4)Undercover S.
(4)Scott S.
Great place for happy hour on the patio. Good happy hour prices and the best view in the area. I don't go here when the patio is closed.
(4)Cris F.
(3)Davis B.
Waiter made a joke about my 25% cash tip so I took another 20$ out of the ATM to make him happy .... It's a joke I will never return. It's a total shame I loved the layout of the business!
(1)Phil G.
$5.00 cover on a Friday night!! give me a break!!! Lodos downtown only charges 2 and that's downtown. Front door was swarming with police and security. No way not fun for me.
(1)Jeremiah Z.
(3)Caroline C.
(2)Natalie M.
(4)Wm H.
Hotspot if you are looking for one. We did not get to the upstairs deck, but that is the place to go when the weather is great according to folks I have talked to. The main level bar is where we ate, the food good and the service very good. Enjoy!
(3)Bob H.

(2)James B.
(2)Amanda D.
(4)Adrian C.
Wonderful person who is the owner, nice new building, great view, decent food. But, there are just a few servers and 'bouncer' types that just ruin it. Over and over again...
(1)Rick S.
(4)Luke B.
The new patio is great, feels like you are hanging out downtown with a great view. Nice looking crowd, great bar for South Denver.
(4)Cass D.
(4)Lauren B.
(3)Shane O.
(4)Mike O.
(1)Heather H.
I give it 3 stars, because the food is very good. Other than that this is a total cougar and mougar pick up joint on most nights.
(3)Carol C.
On my recent trip to Denver a group of us went to Lodo's at Highlands Ranch. The new remodel looks fantastic and the food was really great. I had the fish tacos that were outstanding. Service was great and a good time was had by all. Can't wait to visit the new patio expansion on my next trip.
(5)Steve M.
(2)Karli F.

(2)Neal C.
Wednesday kids eat free. The spinach dip is amazing! Great happy hour deals on Saturday. Great wings too.
(3)Ann W.
(3)Thomas B.
Decent food. Horrible/slow service. Great scenery, especially at the top during sunset. Got the "spicy" fish tacos that were as bland as possible. However the jalapeno spin dip was amazing.
(3)Joan P.
(4)Jennifer E.
Great place to enjoy a cold beer on the rooftop patio with views of the Front Range! Hummus was good, salad was fresh. Better than average bar food. I would avoid going at high traffic times like happy hour on Thursdays and Fridays if you don't enjoy large crowds.
(3)Daniel B.
Very average food. I would recommend going here for a rooftop beer on a nice day. Other than that, I would not go strictly for the food.
(3)Tiger M.
Not a fan.
(3)S S.
Holy crap - is everything on their menu spicey? We ordered 3 or 4 different appetizers and every thing ordered even things we didnt think would have spice to them were hot!!!!
(2)Grace C.
(2)Kelly E.
(4)Kristy S.
Stopped in with the family for lunch on a Sunday. Server was very friendly and provided great service. Food was fast and tasty. I couldn't help notice the Bloody Mary Bar for brunch, I'll probably try that next time.
(4)Bryan H.
It's otay, cougar hang out for sure. Service is lack luster, yet location is good and dependable for happy hour, although their is much better choices within 5 miles. Nonetheless, if I were back in my early 20's this would be a fun hang out.
(2)Jayson L.
I am a fan of one of their burgers. I had the hickory burger, again, and it was great as always. I also love the thick fries, so much better than thin fries. The rest of the food there is fine, I just found the one thing I like on their menu and keep coming back for more.
(5)Sierra K.
(2)Kristine C.
This is the place to come if you like feeling like you are looking to pick someone up, or be picked up, and don't mind crappy food. That's all I can say. The food I had was terrible, and we won't go back.
(1)Sandi D.
